Derek Hough No Limits - Live To Tape Show

Today was a fun 12 hour shoot day for the In Color Studios Las Vegas Film Studio! The ICS Team traveled to The Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, NV to shoot the Derek Hough No Limits show at the Showroom Theater.

This was a big multicam shoot with 11 different cameras! We had about 13 crew members join us for this shoot! We started out setting up all the gear and cameras around the venue to shoot the first of two shows of the day! There was also a jib set up as well. The first show was a small crowd that we organized in the middle of the audience seats to get the best shots for the show commercial. Our Camera Op, Daniel Saenz was also on stage as the talent were dancing filming them with the gimbal, this was very tricky as the stage wasn’t super big! Our creative Director, Ed Gregory was directing the show to make sure we got the best shots. This was about 3 hours.

As that ended we had a couple hours to set up the next show! This was the actual show with no cuts and it was a full house! All the camera men were set up around the venue to shoot the show. As the house was filling up, our Camera Op Daniel Saenz was backstage getting some BTS of Derek Hough and his dancers. Now it's show time! Our Director Ed Gregory opened the show and reminded the audience that this was a live to tape show and they are all on camera. Our producers Rosie Gregory and Megan Aragon made sure the show ran smoothly and all crew members were set!

This shoot went amazing and we had the best time doing it! We can't wait for you all to see this commercial for Derek Hough's residency here in Las Vegas!
