The Alexander Dawson Design Company
Alexander Dawson Design Company Program Video
Alexander Dawson School commissioned a two-minute video about the Dawson Design Company, its student-led design and fabrication program. In Color Studios handled pre-production, scriptwriting, on-location interviews, b-roll, and post-production on an accelerated schedule.
Pre-Production and Story Structure
Faculty, students, and the production team developed a concise narrative around the program’s mission, representative projects, and role in student learning. Interview topics and b-roll were planned around that structure.
Filming at Alexander Dawson School
The crew recorded interviews with students and faculty, hands-on fabrication and design work, and the collaborative atmosphere of the program. The production plan was designed to work within the active educational setting.
Two-Day Edit
In Color Studios completed post-production in two days. The edit combined interviews, b-roll, clear audio, color, and pacing into the final two-minute piece.
