Blue Man Group – Documentary Series

Producing Blue Man Group’s “Becoming Blue” Documentary Series

In Color Studios helped produce the “Becoming Blue” documentary series for Blue Man Group. The series combines behind-the-scenes footage and interviews to examine the performers’ preparation, creative process, and collaborative approach.

The production used documentary storytelling and carefully planned cinematography to connect the performance work on stage with the people and decisions behind it.

Why Use a Documentary Series?

Branded mini documentaries give companies and organizations a narrative format for sharing their work, values, and people. Unlike a short advertisement, a documentary series can spend more time on process, context, and individual experiences.

Building Audience Connection

Interviews and observational footage can make a brand story more specific and relatable. When the narrative is grounded in real people and production details, viewers can better understand how the work is created.

Flexible Distribution

Individual episodes and shorter excerpts can be adapted for websites, social platforms, email campaigns, and other digital channels, giving the same production multiple uses.

“Becoming Blue” applies this format to Blue Man Group’s creative process, presenting the preparation and collaboration behind the performance.
