Dance Music Video Production in Las Vegas
This dance video was choreographed by Jawkeen Howard and filmed at the In Color Studios facility in Las Vegas. The concept drew inspiration from classic ensemble dance scenes, including West Side Story and Michael Jackson’s “Beat It,” while giving the material a contemporary visual treatment.
The camera remained on a gimbal throughout the production. Carefully planned transitions kept the movement continuous and helped place the viewer within the performance rather than at a fixed distance from it.
Behind the Scenes
The music video and dance video production used Studio A for the main set and larger cast. Studio B, the daylight studio, served as the holding area and provided access to its attached hair, makeup, and wardrobe room.
We love shooting music videos and dance videos in our Las Vegas production facility. We have plenty of work for large casts like in the shoot. This was shot inside Studio A but we also have Studio B which is our Daylight studio. Smaller but filled with character. For this shoot we used studio B as a holding area as it has an attached Hair, makeup and wardrobe room.
